Decor Design for a December Wedding at JCC

We love that brides have so many places to get inspired now: pinterest, websites, blogs, magazines, and even tv shows. We also love being able to pull together a brides style and make one cohesive design style. We listed in another blog what a planner does, but we wanted to do an emphasis on decor design. We put in bold some tips to making sure you have a cohesive wedding style.

The bride wanted a traditional wedding in white, creams, golds, and blush pinks. Country Club of Jackson is a beautiful space but she wanted it to look "diferent" from other weddings she has been to at that venue. So we put on our thinking caps and came up with some great ideas to transform the space and make it unique to her wedding.

The main transformation was in the entry. We draped the hallway and hung gold chandeliers running from the entrance until guests ended at the cake.

We always want one dramatic statement- that can be over the dance floor, behind the band, as guests enter, but to put drama all in one area to make a true WOW moment. This particular WOW moment was for guests when they first entered and made a dramatic statement for sure.

We also always want to have cohesive paper products so we took the logo from the save the date and printed it on the invitation, used it all paper products at the reception, used it in the lighting, the cake had the logo on a layer, and we even had it the logo etched on mirrors behind the Bride's cake and bar to ensure the logo was fully emersed into the overall style. When a logo is repeatedly used it shows the wedding was planned and makes the wedding more cohesive in general.

One of the biggest jobs is deciding centerpieces. So many times, brides decide to cut decor because it is an item that is paid at the end, but like we say: "spend money where people see" and they will be sitting at these tables all night so make sure they are beautiful!

We always choose a variety of centerpiece styles to keep guests interested and make sure some are tall and some are low for variety. In this particular wedding, we chose tall candelabras with hydrangea runners coming down the sides and they were amazing! Another centerpiece was a low runner of flowers and candles down long tables. The main food table arrangement was a tall stunner but what made it unique was the "vase" was made entirely of flowers.

We hope you loved reviewing this amazing December wedding and some tips on how to create a coheisve design style. We put some more pics below...Happy Wedding!
